Support

Write to a person.

One person makes Fihris and one person answers the email. Expect a reply within three business days.

What to include

The more of this you can give, the faster this goes.

Please do not send us a paper, a PDF or your notes. We do not need them, and Fihris is built so that we never have them.

  1. What you were doing: the screen you were on and the last thing you tapped.
  2. What happened, and what you expected instead.
  3. Your device and iOS version (Settings ▸ General ▸ About).
  4. The Fihris version (Settings ▸ About, at the bottom).
  5. A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.
  6. For anything about a purchase, your App Store transaction identifier (see below).

Restoring a purchase

You never pay twice.

If you bought Fihris Pro, a subscription or credits and a new device does not show them:

  1. 1

Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with.

  2. 2

In Fihris, open Settings ▸ Fihris Pro.

  3. 3

    Tap Restore purchases.

It works without buying anything, and it restores Fihris Pro, the Fihris Intelligence subscription and any credit top-ups. If it still does not appear, email us with your transaction identifier and the Apple Account email you purchased with (we cannot see it; Apple does not give it to us).

Your transaction identifier

The only way we can find your subscription, because Fihris has no account.

  1. Apple's purchase confirmation email, under the Fihris line.
  2. In the app: Settings ▸ AI ▸ Fihris Intelligence.

Data request

Deleting the billing ledger.

Fihris keeps one ledger for Fihris Intelligence billing, and no question, excerpt or answer is in it. Ask for those rows to be deleted, copied to you, or corrected. Deleting the ledger does not cancel your subscription and it does not touch anything on your device.

Request a deletion or a copy

A refusal you disagree with

A real research question that gets refused is a bug we want to fix.

When a question falls outside the papers in your Library, Fihris Intelligence replies with one fixed sentence and never charges for it. We cannot see your question, so email [email protected] with the subject "Out-of-scope refusal": the question in your own words, roughly what the papers were about, the approximate time and your transaction identifier.

Refusals are counted. If enough of them pile up in a day, the subscription is slowed down for 24 hours as an anti-abuse measure, and three such days suspend relay access until you write in. If that happened to you and you believe it was wrong, say so in the same email; we will look at the counts and lift it.

I can only help with questions about the papers in your library.

Bugs and feature requests

Send them to the same address. Tell us what you were trying to do, not only what broke; the underlying goal is usually the more useful half.
